On 30.09.2022 at 07.00 a.m. ALDI will reopen the newly designed store in the Allee-Center Berlin in a larger space. The renovated store was designed in line with the current store concept as part of the modernization of the entire ALDI North store network. “The focus of the new stores is primarily on a bright and friendly shopping atmosphere. The sales area has been expanded by 300 square meters to around 1,000 square meters and reflects ALDI’s latest image. The discount grocery store offers more space and wider aisles as well as an increased range of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and baked goods for our customers. In addition, there are promotional items that change up to three times a week, including products from the areas of textiles and shoes, electronics, household, DIY and gardening,” says Silvana Kniest, Head of Sales at the ALDI Werneuchen regional company responsible for Berlin-Lichtenberg. The new store is equipped with a modern lighting and color concept and, thanks to the latest technology, is also state of the art in terms of energy efficiency.
ALDI is one of the first tenants at the Allee-Center Berlin, which is located on Landsberger Allee in the Berlin-Lichtenberg district. The center was built in 1994 and is positioned as a district center with a focus on local shopping. Following the modernization of the REWE store in spring 2020, the Allee-Center offers an optimal range of products for customers in the surrounding districts, especially in the area of short-term needs. The strong food offering is complemented by doctors’ surgeries, a pharmacy and retailers such as Woolworth, Deichmann, Ernstings’ Family and regional specialist stores for optics, jewelry, stationery and books. The concept is rounded off by services from the stationary branches of Sparkasse and the post office, a children’s adventure world and various restaurants.
The Allee-Center Berlin has been under full-service center management by VÖLKEL Real Estate since 2021.
